Online Awareness Sessions for Parents & Carers

Good Afternoon,

Avon and Somerset Police are offering free online awareness sessions for Parent/Carers on the topic of Online Grooming & Exploitation.

The sessions will be led by Prevention officer Andri Nicolaou from the dedicated Child Exploitation Team in Avon and Somerset Police and will enable participants to learn how to keep the children in their care safe online and recognize the signs of grooming and exploitation.

During the session you will learn

• The different forms of child exploitation
• How offenders groom and expolit children on and offline
• Key warning signs that a child may be at risk
• Practical steps you can take to help keep your child safe
• What to do and who to contact if you have concerns
