Students at Kingsmead school are celebrating today after their hard work and efforts were rewarded with some excellent exam results.
Headteacher John Eddy said: “This was a wonderful year group who consistently worked hard for their success. They took the opportunities offered by a very dedicated group of teachers to ensure that they were well prepared for the exams. They attended after-school revision sessions, as well as those offered during the holidays, and all helped to make a difference.
“We are pleased that we can see continuing improvements in key areas across the school. In particular, staff are delighted that students in receipt of the pupil premium and those with an identified educational need have been rewarded with higher grades than previously.
“Success will look different for each student. We have many who have secured the very highest grades as well as those who have secured the grades that they need to enable them to move on to college. We have thoroughly enjoyed working with these students and wish them every success as they continue their studies and training.”
