Our “Somer of Sound” was a huge success, with more than 350 tickets sold. Festival goers enjoyed a mini Glastonbury in the blazing heat, with 25 acts performing – soloists, vocalists, bands and DJs. The stage acts featured students past and present, as well as some stunning local talent.
Other highlights were food by the amazing Little Red Fire Truck, ice creams and sweets, festival “tattoos” and glitter, a DJ set and dance off competition. With thanks to the PTA for running a very busy bar which raised funds for the school. We also collected more than £1,000 via ticket sales and a raffle for Wiveliscombe Pool.
We chose the pool as it desperately needs financial help to keep it open. The rapid rise of gas and electricity prices has had a very significant impact on its viability. It’s been part of our community or nearly 100 years and we hope it can be here for 100 more.
